Mogadishu, 04 November, 2023… The Somali Women Journalists Rights Association (SOWJRA) has concluded digital media skills and story telling training for 50 women journalists in Mogadishu today. The training was funded by the Slovak Aid.
The closing ceremony was attended by several government officials and media organizations in Mogadishu. MP Ismael Idow from the Federal Parliament of Somalia has hailed the training, saying that he is impressed by the continues improvement of the capabilities and skills of the Somali women journalists. He also applauded SOWJRA for organizing this training.
The deputy director of SOWJRA Naima Said Salah has thanked the participants for their commitment to the training. She also urged the female journalists to continue their uphill battle in their journalistic activities.
In her closing remarks, the executive director of SOWJRA Leila Adeed has emphasized the importance of digital media in journalism. She also thanked Slovak Aid for the unwavering support.
