The Somali Women Journalists Rights Association (SOWJRA) has successfully secured the release of female journalist Baha Abdullahi Salaad, who was taken from her home by the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia on March 15th. We were able to achieve her freedom within two hours. We are against any act of abuse or intimidation directed at women journalists. The Somali Women Journalists Rights Association is committed to defending and advocating for the rights of Somali women journalists.
